The Old Fashioned, a timeless cocktail, traces its origins to the early 19th century. This classic drink embodies simplicity and elegance, featuring a blend of bourbon or whiskey, sugar, aromatic bitters, and a citrus twist. The result is a sophisticated, spirit-forward libation that celebrates the purity of its ingredients.

With a rich amber hue and a balanced flavour profile, the Old Fashioned has endured as a symbol of mixology's heritage, remaining a favourite among connoisseurs and casual imbibers alike.

Jarrolds asked local producer, the English Distillery, to share their own recipe for this classic cocktail; perfect to enjoy on a January evening while listening to vintage jazz and staying warm indoors.
