How it started

Gem Spalding-Tunnicliffe started out learning macramé in the spring of 2021, quickly finding herself hooked on designing and making new products. Soon the house was brimming with all things macramé , and with the encouragement of her friends and family, Gem started up her own business, Piglet & Chestnut, named after her two sons Elijah and Chester.

It quickly turned from a hobby into a full time business and Gem is now beyond excited to be part of Jarrold's Store Folk.
