About Lois Rose
Raised at the village of Claxton in the Yare Valley, I have always loved nature, horses and the countryside. I find my greatest inspiration when I’m walking about the North Norfolk coast or the Broads, creating artworks that reflect the changing seasons.
I launched my fine art business after I graduated from UEA in 2011 (BA Hons English Literature). I won the award for Best Artwork in any Medium by an artist under 35 upon my debut exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London, and was voted the favourite artist by popular vote at an exhibition with the Norfolk and Norwich Art circle.
My artworks have been exhibited locally and further afield with collectors purchasing from within the UK and abroad, and I have travelled far and wide completing photography shoots at equestrian events and for private owners. I also undertake commissions in oils or pencils of pets, livestock, and portraiture.
I am proud to live in Norfolk and to celebrate the beauty of this county. In addition to my fine art business, I write creative prose fiction and volunteer with the National Trust. Where possible, I use sustainably-sourced materials and environmentally-friendly processes from within the UK in the creation of my artworks and products.
