The Food Hall Assistant - Cheese Specialist

We are now looking for an exceptional Deli Assistant to work on our Cheese and Charcuterie Counter in our Food Hall.

Our fantastic Food Hall hosts the finest produce, featuring many local products from Norfolk and Suffolk, a large selection of fine wines. tempting chocolates and cakes, and much more. We have two fresh counters, the newest of which is a fabulous Cheese and Charcuterie Wine Bar, with an adjacent Cheese Room. You will find a beautiful selection of charcuterie meats, fresh pasta, fish and over 100 different cheeses.

The role:

You will be working mainly on the cheese counter, delivering an exceptional customer experience and providing expert advice to assist customers with their purchases. Regularly liaising with our deli buyer you will ensure the cheese selection is fully replenished and displayed to a high standard, as well as following strict hygiene processes.

As a successful Deli Assistant you will:

• Always offer fast and friendly service
• Demonstrate a passion for food, particularly cheese.
• Adapt to the challenges that vary from day to day. It is a flexible role, that may require you to work in different areas from time to time.
• Take every opportunity to expand your knowledge and develop your skills

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience in a similar role and strong knowledge of different cheeses.
• Is friendly, calm and efficient – even on our busiest days.
• Enjoy engaging with customers.
• Have demonstrable knowledge of Food Hygiene procedures.
