William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet has gained immortality as the embodiment of unconditional love unto death. The story of the two lovers, who perish due to the enmity between their families, is to this day one of the most pertinent and moving literary works ever written.
The Montblanc Meisterstück Romeo and Juliet collection is dedicated to this milestone in world literature. Dedicated to Romeo, the LeGrand Fountain Pen is fashioned in teal-coloured precious resin to evoke the heavenly aura of the garden and is enhanced further by contrasting platinum-coated fittings.
On the cap, a delicate rose is depicted amidst a finely crafted leaf pattern. It signifies Juliet’s ardent hope that their love for one another will remain unsullied by their family heritage – just as the pure, bewitching scent of a rose endures forever. The handcrafted nib, made of solid Au 585 gold, bears a highly symbolic embossing: the name ‘Romeo’ immortalised within a heart pierced by a dagger and framed by star-like rays.
