An iconic Norfolk wine with a fresh and fruity feel on the palate. This grape variety could well be known as the Sauvignon Blanc of England! Bacchus is the still white wine variety that has caught the imagination in England, with the best of them highly respected for their quality. Norfolk, and East Anglia as a whole, has become known for its delicious Bacchus.
An elegant nose of grapefruits, passion fruits and floral characters. Tropical fruits backed with a clean crisp finish on the palate.
Perfect with fish or poutry its long finish is a joy to savour.
Winbirri Vineyard produces world-beating English wines here in Norfolk. They have 25 acres in Surlingham which is an important Anglo-Saxon settlement on the edge of the Norfolk Broads National Park. The name Winbirri comes from the Anglo-Saxon 'win' (wine) and 'birri' (grape).
