Inspired by daytrips to the Norfolk coast, these cute little perching hats reference jolly deckchairs, painted beach huts and bright fisher cottages. Whether its a breezy walk along the clifftop or a posh party at The Hall, 'The Overstrand' cuts a dash.

Made from high grade wool felt at the Goodrum & Merryweather studio in the heart of Norwich, this hat is crafted the traditional way. This particular variant of 'The Overstrand' is made on a small, round, wooden block with a sloping, wedged, top, known as a slice. A zingy mustard colour, it features an oversized felt pompom that is cut and constructed entirely by hand.

It is secured to the head with a stretchy hat elastic (in black) that sits under the hairline for an invisible and comfortable fit. This arrangement allows the wearer to position and style the hat in multiple ways, to either the left or right side, depending on preference and mood.

Free size, the hat is designed to perch at rakish angles and should fit most heads without the need for close measuring. Fully lined to the underside in repurposed vintage silk salvaged from second-hand neckties, 'The Overstrand' delights with hidden depth and detail.
