Flint Vineyard at The Bay
Launches 26th March 2026
At The Bay, our menu celebrates the incredible produce of the Norfolk coast. As part of this philosophy, we’re collaborating with Flint Vineyard, an independent winery based in the Waveney Valley in South Norfolk, to serve a selection of local wines that perfectly complement our fish-focused menu.
Founded by winemaker Ben Witchell, Flint Vineyard has quickly become recognised as one of England’s most exciting wine producers. The vineyard combines traditional winemaking knowledge with modern techniques to create expressive, small-batch wines that showcase the character of the East Anglian landscape.
Their wines are crafted using carefully sourced grapes from their own vineyards and trusted local growers, with a focus on precision and quality. The result is a range of elegant still and sparkling wines that reflect the unique conditions of Norfolk—one of the sunniest and driest wine-growing regions in the UK.
Many of Flint’s wines are naturally suited to seafood. Crisp, aromatic whites such as Bacchus or Silex offer fresh citrus, herbal and mineral notes, while structured styles like Chardonnay bring bright acidity and subtle richness that pairs beautifully with grilled fish, shellfish and coastal flavours.
Partnering with Flint Vineyard also reflects Jarrold’s commitment to supporting local, independent producers. By serving wines made just a short distance from our restaurant, we celebrate the growing reputation of Norfolk as a food and drink destination while supporting a small business dedicated to quality and innovation.
This collaboration allows us to create a truly local dining experience—Norfolk fish paired with Norfolk wine—bringing together producers who share the same values of craft, sustainability and independence.
At The Bay, working with Flint Vineyard means more than simply offering great wine. It’s about telling a story of place, supporting local enterprise, and creating thoughtful pairings that elevate the flavours of our menu.
