The John Jarrold Printing Museum opened at Whitefriars in 1982 and continues as a working museum today.

The spring catalogue from 1986, and INSTYLE magazine from 1987.

Alongside many changes to the Norwich store, including refitting and new departments, Jarrold bought Jackson's of Wymondham.

The sixth, seventh and eighth generations of the Jarrold family, with John Jarrold's second wife Joan, mark the 225th anniversary of the founding of the company in 1995.

A commemorative plate was designed for the anniversary.

Richard Jarrold retired as managing director of retail and became chairman in 2000.
